Thalia Clan

More Information About Thalia

Thalia Clan is an initiatory tradition, meaning that you have to be initiated into an existing Hearth to become a member. This isn't about any kind of elitism or belief that 'only a witch can make a witch' - we're a self-created Tradition, so we would be really hypocritical thinking things like that. However, one of the foundations of our Tradition is that we try as best as we can to be family to each other. Because of that, we're based on our Hearths, and on accepting each other as part of that family, and on forming the bonds you can only get through time spent with each other. That's why you have to be initiated into a Hearth. However, we're also talking about taking the parts of Thalia that do translate into solitary work, and turning it into our own sister-tradition of Wicca, Storyteller Wicca. If you're interested in that, or if you have input on how we can do that, feel free to contact us. Otherwise, the only places we currently have Hearths is Indianapolis, Indiana. If you're near enough to Indy and you'd like more information, let us know.

Interest Form

Note: Feel free to fill out as much or as little of this as you choose. Nothing is required. However, if you've read the information about us and are seriously interested in Thalia, the more detailed questions would probably help us determine whether we'd fit with each other or drive each other crazy - like any family. :)

Paganism, at least our brand, neither requires 'alternative' lifestyles nor condemns them. If you're involved in any (polyamory, homosexuality, etc.) and want to mention them, please do.

Thalia basically holds to three 'laws': the Wiccan Rede, "An it harm none, do as thou wilt"; the Threefold Law, "Whatever you do shall return to you threefold"; and (don't laugh) the Star Trek 'Law', "Infinite Diversity in Infinite Combinations", or in other words, "Don't belittle anyone else's Road". What do those three things mean to you?

The Charge of the Goddess lists several things that need to be in balance in Her Children. One of those is 'mirth and reverence'. What does that mean to you?

Why are you interested in exploring Wicca, NeoPaganism, or Magick with a group?

Finally, what else would you like us to know about you?

And remember Thalia's favorite line...
Life is too important to be taken seriously!
